"Arbeit macht frei"
This is a piece of dance created by senior girls to represent the Holocaust.
Ellena and Emilie give their opinions on it:
" We have been working on a contemporary piece, in which we attempt to portray some of the emotions experienced during this time. It has been a huge challenge and totally absorbing. We spent quite some time researching the history and looking at materials to use as a springboard for the dances. We think we've got is right though. Clearly we want people to feel moved, as we have done in preparing our pieces, but we also would like people to feel a sense of hope, as we explore some of the positive emotions experienced during this time, such as supporting one another in times of great need."
