Preparations for the dance finale are well under way.
Sophie
and Megan (Year 11) describe how things are progressing.
“This is the favourite dance
of most of the girls. It's a jazzy, show-stopping number, typical of the Berlin
cabaret scene in the 1930s. As you can see the stage is
packed with girls and there is lots going on. Girls are dancing in small groups, doing their own
routines, yet each routine is designed to complement the other. What's more,
the show starts in the cabaret and now ends there, so there's a rounded feel to
the performance.”
“It's hard work”, says Megan. “Total concentration is
required to get the timing spot on. On the plus side, the music is fantastic
and the costumes are stunning. More about that next time….”
